The first vineyard in Poland to register the production and sales of its original wines.
Nad Dworskim Potokiem Vineyard is an agricultural experimental establishment, owned by the Jagiellonian University, located in Łazy near Bochnia. The first vines were planted in 2005. The main varieties of grapes cultivated there include hibernal, seyval, bianca and muscat, as well as marechal foch, regent and rondo. At the very beginning, the plantation covered the area of 30 ares, but it was later expanded to its present size – 3.5 hectares. Apart from the vineyard itself, the plot also features a winery and a laboratory, which hosts classes and workshops as part of oenology post-graduate studies, offered by the university since several years now. The vineyard is supervised by a well-known Polish winemaker – Adam Kiszka. It is the first vineyard in Poland to register the production and sales of its original wines, which can be purchased from the store in the vineyard.
